Self is a 7, 15 or 30-day Mend Away experience to live, work, play, and Mend in Barcelona with other women from the Mend community.
Elle Huerta and Team Mend, in partnership with travel experts Behere, have planned every aspect of this special experience, tailoring everything to help you reconnect with and rebuild yourself.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve recently gone through a heartbreak or you’re months (or even years) removed from your last breakup, this experience is about you.
So, what will you discover about yourself?
You’ll feel right at home in a fully furnished apartment in the neighborhood of Ciutat Vella, amidst historic architecture, shops, restaurants, and cafes.
All apartments have been carefully chosen by our travel partner Behere to ensure comfort, safety, and convenience. When you book your experience, you'll have the option of a shared bedroom (twin bed) or your own private bedroom (double/queen).
Your experience includes a membership to a bright, airy, and modern coworking space in the heart of Ciutat Vella, a short walk from your apartment. You’ll have access M-F 9am-8pm.
Whether you’re writing a book, studying, building a presentation, continuing your usual work, or meeting with others, this space is a perfect place for location-independent workers to be productive. You’ll have high-speed wifi and access to a coffee bar, tea/water, open seating, and lounge areas.
We’ve carved out time for fun throughout the month because play is an important part of Mending.
We’ll host planned group activities, but the major benefit of this experience in Barcelona is that you’ll also have plenty of unstructured time to go off on your own, while never actually being completely alone in a new city.
This is why we’re here, the bread and butter of why we do what we do. Your Mend journey is unique to you, and we’re here to support you with yoga, meditation, journaling, and group sessions.
You’ll also get a chance to choose a workshop track to further tailor your experience: Breakup Support or Finding Love.
Our homebase during this experience is one of Europe's most beautiful cities on the Mediterranean. Referred to as "shoulder season," fall is one of the best times to visit Barcelona. The weather makes for a more pleasant experience sightseeing, and although the evenings get a bit chillier, you can still have some warmer beach days.
Are you ready to dive in?

Elle will host the welcome and closing dinners, as well as lead several group sessions throughout the month.
Behere are the go-to travel experts for women looking to live and work abroad, so they are the perfect partner to make this retreat as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Behere's co-founders Meesen (pictured above) and Thomas have worked closely with Mend to make sure this is a seamless experience and their team will be on hand in Barcelona to help if anything comes up.
Here are answers to some top questions. If you have questions that aren't answered here, email us at hello@letsmend.com.
We will assign roommates after all spots have been filled. If you are booking with a friend and would like to share a room, please contact hello@letsmend.com to coordinate with Team Mend and ensure your friend also emails us. We’re happy to accommodate pairs who want to room together as long as 1) both people have booked shared bedrooms and 2) we receive an email confirmation from both people separately that they’d like to be matched with each other.
Each Mender will arrange their own transportation to and from Barcelona. We recommend booking your travel to Barcelona as soon as you’re confirmed for the experience, and we’ll provide recommendations for when to book your travel so that you arrive on time. There will be a more specific meeting point address for Welcome Day provided to everyone.
